The Choir
The choir has its roots in the Cantors of Exeter University, conducted by David Allinson whilst he was researching his PhD 1994-1998. Almost the whole present day line-up are Exeter graduates from that time.
Most members of Cantores have sung with each other since university days and it is this background of friendship and the consistency of our line-up which makes our sound very distinctive.
Over the years since leaving university we have built up a strong reputation for passionate, emotionally engaging singing.
